The Mayor also acknowledged the crucial role of FP Airports Ltd, saying, “The team at FP Airports has worked with us creatively to put together the right solution for DSA. We are confident that the reopening and future operation of Doncaster’s airport is in good hands.”

With the necessary airport mobilization activity underway, the target reopening date is set for Spring 2026. Mayor Jones proudly refers to DSA as “the people’s airport,” underscoring the community’s support for this initiative.
